More About Julie's Experience with Nonprofits

Julie’s broad management and leadership experience started at SmithBucklin Corporation, the world’s largest company providing professional services to mission driven nonprofits and associations. Julie spent 22 years in every possible role in the not for profit space developing deep strategic expertise in the management and cultures of volunteer led organizations. After serving as CEO of several accounts, Julie led practice areas in technology, healthcare and commercial verticals before being tapped for president of SmithBucklin. The company reached its peak of an unprecedented level of 98% client retention year over year under Julie’s leadership.  

 

Julie harnesses her emotional intelligence and unique skills to choose and manage executive talent, lead executive transitions and advise boards. She is participatory with her clients – her boots on the ground work side by side with executives enables her to share her experiences in a deep and impactful way. She’s been an outgoing CEO, incoming CEO, board member, recruiter and executive coach. She personally led 50+ CEO transitions for her clients. By understanding what each stakeholder needs to be successful in their role, Julie has been able to develop a proprietary transition and on boarding process (INBoarding 90) for organizations that are making a change in their chief staff executive. She partners with executive recruiters to ensure that incoming executives are supported, and with boards to ensure that goals are top of mind even during the transition period.
